Hands to Hands Community Fund was founded by concerned community leaders to help support programs and services of non-profit agencies who are no longer funded by United Way.

They are volunteers, people who care about the needs of others, just like you. Thier intention is to replace the funding they lost. It’s not to replace an agency’s annual fundraising campaign or event.

Collectively, thier member agencies, which includes The Arc, have served the community for more than 445 years. Their programs are vital. Their passion and dedication to those they serve is unwavering. They need your help. Most importantly, the people they serve need your help more than ever before.

Have you ever wanted to know how other parents of children on the autism spectrum do things? Do you ever just want to talk to someone that has the experience and expertise of parenting an autistic child? Do you want advice from someone who has been in your shoes and overcome obstacles that you face when raising your children?

Autism Parent to Parent is a place where moms, dads, step-parents, grandparents, family members and friends can come to learn things about autism and all of the experiences that come with raising a child on the spectrum.

AutismWF.com is another great site that has links to several local resouces in Wichita Falls and the surrounding area.

The Arc of Texas has a great page for resources for the family that are available across the state of Texas. They have also information on advocacy and the legislative advances we have made in Austin.

Parents, educators, advocates, and attorneys come to Wrightslaw for accurate, reliable information about special education law, education law, and advocacy for children with disabilities.

Begin your search in the Advocacy Libraries and Law Libraries. You will find thousands of articles, cases, and resources about dozens of topics...

This site was created to provide a "one-stop shop" for resources related to IDEA and its implementing regulations, released on August 3, 2006. It is a "living" website and will change and grow as resources and information become available. When fully implemented, the site will provide searchable versions of IDEA and the regulations, access to cross-referenced content from other laws (e.g., the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), etc.), video clips on selected topics, topic briefs on selected regulations, links to OSEP's Technical Assistance and Dissemination (TA&D) Network and a Q&A Corner where you can submit questions, and a variety of other information sources.
