Recreation Programs and Social Events for Teens and Adults
A committee comprised of volunteers plan social activities for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Volunteers sign up to help chaperone the events and serve refreshments. We usually have two activities each month such as bingo night and dances. The Arc also conducts monthly social activities with our Fellowship and Adventure Time Programs. Activities included dancing classes, cooking classes, attending sport events, bowling and lots more. The Fellowship Group serves individuals ages 13- 29 and the Adventure Time serves individuals age 30 and older. Volunteers assist the staff as chaperones for these events.
Camp Harmony
Summer fun that includes arts and crafts, swimming, sports and hiking are some of the activities of our three-week Camp Harmony program. The program operates during the months of June and is held at Lucy Park. Volunteers are needed to assist the staff in activities. Interested volunteers can sign up to help on a weekly or daily basis. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Provide Refreshments
Each month The Arc has program trainings and social activities for citizens with developmental disabilities. We welcome volunteers to help donate cookies or cakes for these events.
Office Assistance
Volunteer services are always needed to help answer the phone, assist in special mailings, computer entries and lots more. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fund Raising Volunteers - All Proceeds benefit The Arc.
