The Arc of Wichita County provides safe, dependable, and inclusive child care for children ages 3–17, with and without disabilities. We recognize that some children face barriers to traditional child care due to behavioral challenges, toileting needs, or other support requirements. Our program strives to provide a welcoming environment where children of all abilities can feel accepted and supported.
Our primary goal is to provide a safe and caring environment while giving parents and caregivers the dependable child care they need to maintain employment and meet their family's responsibilities. Through recreational activities, social interaction, and community experiences, children also have opportunities to build friendships and enjoy their time with us.
We understand the challenges working families face when child care arrangements are disrupted. Our staff make every reasonable effort to support children through behavioral challenges rather than routinely requiring early pickup, provided the safety of the child, other children, and staff can be maintained.
Program Hours & Fees
After-School Care
Monday – Friday | 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
$75 per week
Available on regular school days.Full-Day Care
Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
$140 per week
Available during summer, school breaks, and designated school holidays.Additional Full-Day Care
$15 per day
For children enrolled in our weekly after-school program who need full-day care on designated days when school is closed.Daily Drop-In Care
$35 per day
For families who only need occasional full-day care without weekly enrollment.
All enrollment options are subject to availability and program operating schedules. Advance arrangements may be required.
Holiday Closures
Our Child Care Program is closed on the following holidays:
New Year's Day
Good Friday
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Friday after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
Additional closures or schedule adjustments will be communicated to families in advance.
