Established in 2016, the HERO Program has grown from a single location into multiple HERO House centers serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Wichita Falls and Graham, Texas.

Our HERO Program provides a welcoming, supportive environment where members can develop everyday living skills, build meaningful relationships, explore personal interests, and become more actively involved in their communities. We believe every individual deserves opportunities to make choices, pursue personal goals, and live as independently as possible.

Through a combination of center-based activities and community experiences, members have opportunities to strengthen their skills in areas such as independent living, communication, socialization, health and wellness, and employment readiness. Activities may include grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, volunteering, fitness, recreational outings, and participation in local community events.

At HERO House, we recognize that every member has unique abilities, interests, and support needs. Our staff work to encourage personal growth, promote self-determination, and provide individualized support that empowers members to reach their goals.

Enrollment & Payment Options

The HERO Program works with various Medicaid waiver service providers and also offers private-pay enrollment options for individuals who may not have access to waiver-funded services.
