Self-Advocacy
People First Self-Advocates
People First is comprised of a group of individuals ages 18 and over who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Once a month, People First hosts a meeting with activities that teach self-advocacy and socialization. People First travel to Austin, Texas to make their voices heard at the state capitol about legislative issues that are important to them. Each summer they attend a state conference with self-advocates from all over the state of Texas.
